UniMacbook wont recognize HDD...

So i made a thread a few weeks back about my mac not recognizing my new WD scorpio blue HDD...after some research i found out that the mac has the SMS which prevents it from reading hard drives which have SMS built in...So i returned the scorpio blue and got a scorpio black which does not have the SMS...yet it still does not recognize it when i attempt to install snow leo...Any suggestions? im very close to dropping it off at a tech place to get checked out...but rather fix the problem on my own to save some $$

The WD Scorpio Blue is not the problem.....no issues with installing mine

Did you clone your previous drive or just fresh install? Maybe it's a formatting issue, not sure what to recommend with little info....

My stock hard drive died on me...i got the triangle with the flashing ! or ? dont remember which one it is...so i bought the blue...it didnt recognize it...then i returned it and got this one...which is faster anyways 7200 rpm...

So this is a clean install, i bought a new OSX disk from apple, i put it in...it gets me to the language picking...i click next and asks "Which drive would you like to install this to" and i have nothing to choose from.
