On three occasions over the past several days, my computer has suddenly restarted. First the screen turns solid grey and then there is a message "Your computer restarted because of a problem."

The problem began shortly after running Aloft DiskWarrior Version 4.4. I've used DiskWarrior for years and never had a problem.

Sounds like a software update is Corrupt. Did you update from 4.0-4.3? If so, reinstall the update.

The next time it restarts, go to your logs, and copy the kernel panic report and post it here for us to look at. Those are kernel panics which are occurring. Did Disk Warrior report back that it had repaired anything?

Thanks for the help. I don't remember what version of DiskWarrior I had when I updated to 4.4. The last time I ran it there were 18% out of order that were repaired. It had been 2 months since I used DW.

I checked to make sure that all software was updated and then ran Disk Utility as suggested by Apple. OS X: When your computer spontaneously restarts or displays "Your computer restarted because of a problem." - Apple Support.

I haven't had the problem since then but if I do, I'll copy the panic report and post it. I can't find the previous reports.
