Can a Mac drag and drop files/folders like a windows machine? (without copying) If so how?
Is there anyone who can help we with problems I am having with my external modem? Yes, I am on dial-up internet.
There is no need to go into details unless somebody there has had experience with this type of modem.

A Mac can drag and drop files without copying them only if it doesn't leave the disk/hard drive it was originally on, I believe. If you have files on a CD, for example, I think it will copy them and then it's only a matter of dragging the old ones to the Trash.

I think.

Hold OPTION as you drag/drop.... the Green Plus (+) indicates that the file will be Copied... NO green plus indicates the file will be MOVED and not copied.
