I posted this in a different forum before, but can someone please answer this for me?

I'm really new to this, and this is my first post. But I was wondering if you can watch T.V on the MBP.

I'm debating still on getting the 15 or the 17 inch. My wife will be buying it for me for my birthday!!!!

Thanks for all the help.

I use the Elgato Eyetv Hybrid. The only negative is this unit does not handle digital cable. It does handle analog cable, analog over the air, and digital over the air which is why I bought it. The EyeTV software can be a little flaky at times, but overall is OK.

I can also vouch for Elgato. They have solid hardware but wha really shines is their award-winning EyeTV software, which does a great job managin recorded programs and has some good integration with the Mac, such as iPod export, Toast compatibility, and seamless switching to Front Row, which is my favourite feature.

was thinking about tivo service here, but with comcast their DVRs leave much to be desired.

may be buying this sucker soon. We get digital cable here, but im thinking it will work with normal channels, and OTA HD
