Trouble with Sierra

Since downloading Sierra I am unable to run Sophos anti virus on my i Mac 10.7 OS X
Has anyone else experienced difficulty with this ?

Best bet is to get rid of it you don't need it anyway

And by "it" Kevin means Sophos. There are no viruses for Macs, so any antivirus software is only going to detect Windows viruses that are in emails from Windows users and which cannot do any harm to your Mac. Get rid of Sophos and don't worry about viruses.

Really Sesame that is great news. Uninstall 'it' as it is a resourcehog and as there are no viruses for OS X, what is it looking for? Windows viruses which cannot activate on the Unix file system. There is some malware about, usually distributed with doubtful software from questionable sites. Malwarebytes for Mac will solve all those. Download it and run the Scan mode very few weeks:-

After Sophos is uninstalled, report back on how much faster yiur 'puter is?
