I mistakenly checked auto update on my 6 month old Mac 27 and got stuck with Catalina. And of course... Adobe CS6 went south. I have since bought Affinity Photo, and I'm very slowly trying to learn the nuances of it but I need to get PS working again as I have projects that can't wait for the learning process. I tried using the crippled CS6 starting in terminal, and it sort of works, but it locks up too often. So I'm debating whether to reverse course, reinstall a prior operating system and reinstalling CS6. Now comes the big question... is there a easy to understand "How-To" on reformatting the SSD to a prior OS? Oddly enough, I installed/ran CS6 on Mojave and it ran with zero issues. Almost all my work is on a external 3TB USB Fantom Green Drive, but should I selectively save certain kinds of files from the SSD like fonts or whatever to the 3TB drive? I know eventually I'll have to bite the bullet and update, but in the interim, I'll get a chance to learn more about Affinity Photo which I think can handle my needs. I simply refuse to pay a monthly fee for a few more bells and whistles... CS6 was more than adequate for my needs.
