I have a MBP 7,1 with a MDP that connects fine to my tv at home using a cable with a HDMI on one end with a USB and MDP on the other. I simply connect, switch to HDMI on the TV menu, the mac screen fades momentarily and away we go. Staying in a hotel (long-term) with the Sanyo, I connect, switch to HDMI with remote for TV thru the menu options, the mac screen fades and returns, but the TV screen shows "no signal". I tried both HDMI 1 and 2 with the same results. I visited sanyo website, and read the pdf for the model, but not much help there.
