At the moment when I need to make room on my external HD or a USB drive I have to move the items I want to delete to the trash and then empty the entire trash to get the space I need.
Is there a way to permanently delete items directly from the drive to eliminate the need to empty the trash?
Alternatively, is there a way to permanently delete selected items from the trash without having to empty its entire contents?
