Hello to all,

I have a MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) and a Mini 2012, looking to have them both transfer files between them. ie: pictures, files. folders. etc. What course is the easiest or simplest to do this, NOT looking to do this wireless. All suggestions will be welcomed. OS have been updated (not Sierra yet) and backups done. Thank you for your time reading this and suggestions given.

You could use an ethernet cable, or even a FireWire cable, to transfer all your data.

It should show up in Finder under Shared in the Sidebar. Also, look in System Preferences > Sharing, you may need to turn on File Sharing.

Here are the instructions for setting up file sharing on a Macintosh:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204445
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH21831?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Here is how to connect one or more Macs via Ethernet (if you have a very recent Mac, an Ethernet adapter may be required):
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT1433
Or via Firewire:
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH13954?locale=en_US

Of course, there are other ways to transfer files from one Mac to another.

The easiest way to transfer your files might be to put a USB flash drive in one Mac, copy your files onto it, and then plug it into the other Mac.
e.g.
Kingston Digital 32GB Data Traveler 3.0 USB Flash Drive, Red (DTIG4/32GBET)
$9.31

Or you can use a hard drive in the same way you would use a USB flash drive.
