Transfer albums/songs from MUSIC (not iTunes) to a iPod Touch utilizing a MacBook Pro

I just purchased, (on the way from eBay), an iPod touch 7th gen. for use in my Kenwood head unit in my car. It will be powered by USB plug-in.

Can someone point me to simple directions on how to add my music collection from Music v1.3.6.14 on my MacBook Pro to the iPod touch? I did several Google searches on how to do this and all of the results show to use iTunes which I don’t have on my MacBook Pro.

Current operating system is Ventura 13.5.2
