I wanted to create another post because I am now open to trading for a MB plus cash. Looking for a model right around the same age as mine, preferably with AppleCare. Let me know what you have.
Here is some info on my machine:
I have the original receipt and all documentation/boxes. I really hate to say it but it has been used mainly to check my email, and a little web surfing. It is in like-new condition and has the Apple Care until 6/27/2010.
2.4 ghz Core 2 Duo
4 gig ram
17" Hi Res Screen (looking great)
160 gig 7200 rpm hard drive (it is great to have the faster drive)
And all the features you would expect on a MBP - lit keyboard, webcam, magnetic power, etc.
I have also upgraded to Leopard and have that box and discs as well.
I paid $3,588.88 at the Apple store
Memory upgrade was $176.44
Leopard was $100
Total $3865.32 minus $300 in rebates at the time = $3565.32 invested. And it was really worth more because I received the educator discount.
