Your Mac's Specs
iMac Mid-2011 27”: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017) MacOS 12.2.1: iPad Pro (12.9”) (4th Gen) iPadOS 15.
Searched but didn't find this.

I want (as the Admin) to keep track of another user's time on the iMac. Other than buying spyware, is there a log that the ML systems keeps of logging in and out?

You can use the console.app from applications/utilities to open all the logfiles on the iMac.
It is then a matter of searching the log file ( using string matching in the upper right hand corner ) to filter for a specific event.
My suggestion is go do a log off and a log on, then go into console and see what entries were generated in the log files. You can then use that event in all future string matching requests.

Hope this makes sense ?

OPen a Terminal and type 'man last' without the quotes. That gives all the switches for the command.
If you know their username type 'last username' without the quotes. This will give you more information than you'll know what to do with :)
