[QUOTE="boyscout, post: 1048183, member: 153751"] My MBP 10.5.8 froze up so i turned it off with the button. after that it wouldn't go past the blue screen when starting up. i tried disk first aid by booting of the CD but it didn't work. it boots in safe mode though. i was wondering if i can use time machine to backup in safe mode. Then reinstall OSX of the CD and then use the time machine file to restore everything to normal. or should i just save all my important files and loose everything else? thanks in advance for any responses.
