Ti G4 s-Video Out

I don't understand how to use the s-video out (to a TV) on my Titanium G4. I connect the cable, go into the video on the TV, turn both off and then turn both on, but it never detects the TV. This is incredibly easy on my PC, why is it not working on my Titanium? (Radeon 9600). There is no mirrroring option, or extended screen option, or anything, no matter what resolutions i try (from 640x480- 1400x990).

have you gone into the monitor preferences and hit detect monitors. i have never had any troubles getting my svid to work on my pb

yea, i've tried detect monitors and everything. I still can't get it to work? anyone else have any ideas?
