I am giving users here a warning please do not download the beta seeded version of 10.10.1 they have just started shipping it out to developers and testers but because there really is no real need for what they have updated in this beta wait for the full version.

currently it only addresses

wifi

contact sync with mail

notifications

so please wait its really basic and they are working on it

The 10.10.1 beta is only available to developers who should know how to install, manage and deal with beta releases. Although caution is always warranted with beta quality software, I imagine that the group who has access to this software know how to manage issues. ;)

It addresses WiFi issues, and many here are HAVING WiFi issues. So why not update?

How very odd? If it fixes wifi run it when available. That is all it was designed to do!

Yesterday some time a 2nd beta was released for 10.10.1. I guess testers found more issues. I wish I would help more but I have not had the Wifi or other issues here on my machine.

First off - this beta is not available to the general public.

If you're pirating it - imho, you get what you deserve...

Second, the proper verbiage...

Don't install a beta operating system or a beta OS update if:
a) It's your only computer
b) It's your primary computer
c) you haven't backed up your system and are familiar with restoring your system - if (when) the beta messes something up - and are willing to spend the time it takes to restore your system.

And actually, everyone using a computer should be prepared for item "c" at any time.
