I'm trying to delete a file that has popped up on my desktop "Saved Symantec Data". Every time I drag it to my trash I get this error "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8072)." Can anyone help me get rid of these files?

Completely uninstall Norton Anti Virus as you don't need it. There are no viruses in the wild that can attack your Mac. Once you get rid of Norton, that error should go away. Download the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.app and run it instead.
