It would not charge at all and told me to replace immediately. With my fingers crossed I ordered a new battery and it works fine. The new battery charges like it's supposed to and has good life. Apparently in some cases the laptop will essentially order the battery to commit suicide if it detects a possible shortage or liquid damage. I hope that's what happened in your case as well because it's a simple $160 fix as opposed to having to order a new logic board which would be much more pricey.</p></blockquote><p></p>
