The CPU seems to work full speed w/o open programs,heats up

Couple of days ago I notice sound from my macbook(maybe the fan) and then I realize it's also hot.I restart couple of times,but it still runs very loud as soon as it boots.Please advice

Bring up spotlight and search for Activity Monitor. See if you have any rogue process running in the background that you aren't aware of. Look for old printers that it's trying to connect to or anything else eating up a lot of the CPU.
