I am installing a mac lab at a school Each seat has 2 iMacs with Mavericks. one imac will be the computer and the second mac will always be in target display mode.

The client would like the mac in target display mode to only have a thunderbolt and power cable connected to it. (no keyboard)

The imac in target display is set to autologin and runs a script to hit cmd+f2 after login. Also im using sleepwatcher to have the target display mode computer hit cmd+f2 at wakeup. HOWEVER these commands only run if there is a keyboard attached, which my client doesnt want.

I purchased a rubber ducky from hak5 to simulate a keyboard but it didnt work right, maybe because it didnt simulate a mac keyboard.

Also I had some illusions that i could get one bluetooth keyboard to work with multiple computers.

Any ideas will be much appreciated :)

How can I start a computer in target display mode without a keyboard attached?
or
How can i mimic an apple keyboard without a keyboard attached? How can I mimic an apple keyboard with a usbstick?

What ideas?...I didn't see a question...just a bunch of factual statements.;)

I'm sure you have some questions...but they weren't specifically stated in the post. Better to state them...than for us to try & guess.:)
