Hold done the home button and then click the sleep button. The screen will then flash letting you know you took a screen shot ;D
I tried that yesterday or rather I held down the one on the top of the right side of my iPhone SE2 simultaneously with the home button. There was a click then a message came up to say that I had contacted emergency!

Hmmm, eight year old thread about home screens. I don't think your post is win the right place. Maybe a mod will move it and start a new thread about your post.

As you suggested under my post about organising my home page I have attempted a download in Books but it doesn't seem to be opening so I must have failed to download it; will persevere!

As far as taking screenshots is concerned the attached is the current instruction. I had been doing as instructed already but on the second attempt it worked, as attached with, for privacy reasons, some bits blocked out.
