OK, either this is such a bone-head question or just has such an obvious answer that no one has tackled this. I sat down with an IT guy at work and he was able to connect me to the local wireless private (non-published) network at work, able to somehow tell the iPod touch to sync my calendar, contacts and email with my Outlook. Now, in doing this, you scrub all your contacts from your home Mac plus you don't have the iCal calendars. BUT, you have the calendar from Outlook and outlook contacts. One problem, the editing feature on the iPod touch is very limited. No tap & slide to highlight, copy and paste. I noticed that there's no caps lock on the keyboard either. The "lag" when scrolling the contacts list is also present. It is my hope that Apple will "fix" these bugs and short-comings when an updated OS for the iPhone or iPod touch is released. At $10 per update, 2.0 doesn't offer much more than the previous version. I would expect that 2.1 will be a freebie. Overall, I'm still delighted with the iPod touch as a PDA. It is so superior to that POS iPaq with Windows Mobile (puke & retch). That thing took forever to "wake-up" so a little "lag" in contacts is really no big deal.
