I am not going to be UPGRADING ( a blasted-ly ANNOYING process, in its own right) anymore because I use iMOVIE HD (06), which, save for the graphics, is far better than ANYTHING else ever in iMovie. My 2015 can finally recognize the 2006 iMovie projects, and I will not let APPLE steal back that capability with one of their idiot UPGRADES. I have heard horror stories about El Capitan, anyway, and I always end up screwing something up to a FARE-THEE-WELL when I allow APPLE to UPGRADE. I still regret upgrading my iPhone 6, and losing my original video process, and upgrading iPhoto to this new and worse thing called PHOTO. I really don't understand how Apple has legions of you guys as disciples when all they do is drag you through a maze of GAIN/ YET LOSE "features." What do you guys do with this stuff, anyway? What things do you create from this nightmare? Games? Transfer movies? Spread sheets? Most of what is on any of these computers I never use, anyway. What is the attraction to their increasingly disorienting process? I had one job; film creation and editing. Save for that, I have no interest in these things called computers, at all. Maybe selling my stuff on line... or researching something. I am the only one left making any commercial movies, apparently, and what Steve did to the DVD, Cook is doing to the rest of the iMovie process. I am about done with the whole system, entirely. Once the Northern states took over control of Amazon Createspace, from South Carolina, I am no longer able to deal with them, either. Our one chance to make Hollywood do anything but regurgitate its own sequels has finally been quelled, I see. PC can't do anything of substance and now MAC can't make the connections between them, at all. Apple promised to make this the series of computers for the artists, but we no longer have time to create anything; we have to spend our lives doing the REST of their jobs for them, for free. I will TRY this, and see. Thanks for all your help, but I am still seeing that same gray brick wall. And I imagine that my projects will STILL be grayed out, once I get to the actual part of converting anything. No one ever addresses why this is.
