I know this is a crazy question, but I would love to get my hands on an i7 and the new Nvidia cards on my older 2008 MBP. Now i know the processor and graphics card can't be taken out, but could i replace the whole motherboard, like would it fit in my casing? I know it would void the warranty, which is out already anyways on my model.

I seriously doubt it. Most likely, the motherboard isn't the same shape or size as a previous version. Besides, they're so new I'm not sure you could even find the parts anywhere.

That'd be a risky venture even if you were replacing it with the exact same part. So much can go wrong, and I don't think it's worth possibly compromising your entire machine to do that. Would be kinda cool though...

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
The best you could do is to sell your MBP, while it's still worth a pretty penny, and pay the difference for the i7
