Recently, while running Bootcamp via Parallels, I noticed this little suitcase icon appears on top of the Bootcamp icon on the Dock.

Anybody know what it means or what it's for? The suitcase only seems to show when Bootcamp is running and goes away otherwise.

Actually that's Parallels telling you that you're running Boot Camp from a Parallels virtual machine. If you reboot to Windows via Boot Camp, that type of icon will not appear. Nothing to worry about, it's normal.
