I have multiple computers connected to a wireless cable modem/router.
Ping from any one computer to router is about 4ms.
Ping from any computer to any other randomly ranges from 30ms to 500+ with lots of dropped packets.

Speed of connection to the internet (computer to router/modem to broadband cable) is fine.

I am assuming there is something wrong with the router part, the relay of signal from one wireless connection to another, and that this is inside the router. Does anyone have an alternate idea?

Forgetting about all the details for the moment…what exactly is the issue?
