startup problem

Hi,
I got an old G 3 mac, at the startup it shows a message "This startup disk willnot work on this Macintosh model. use the latest installer to update this disk for this model." Can anyone suggest a way to overcome this. thanks in advance.

What was the last thing you did with the G3? Did you just get it or have you been using it for a while?
