I just installed a 240gb Intel 530 SSD in my early 2008 MBP, 2.4 , 4gb RAM, with Mavericks. I updated the software and installed Cindori Trim Enabler . Currently boot time is about 26 seconds. Is this in the acceptable range or do I need to keep tweaking?

Excellent. Did you time before popping in the SSD? Would imagine a 5400rpm platter drive would require about 70 seconds?

Harry, I believe it was around 75 seconds with the old HDD and 2gb RAM. Everything opens so fast now. I'll be doing a PPT presentation with it this week. I know now it behaved before doing that, so we'll be watching closely. Pretty happy with it now. I'm curious about something. Is OnyX a good thing? I have it on the old G4 PowerBook and it does a good job there, but I'm not sure about putting it one the MacBook.
