Is there an app to check what IP addresses etc are using my wireless. Is there a way to kick them off?

Call the FBI, have them tracked and most likely within 30 minutes they'll be at his doorstep.

if you're using DHCP, then your router should have a clients list available. rather than kicking them off, it would be better to prevent them connecting by using WEP or WPA encryption, or MAC filtering.

Or go with his idea.

I have a WEP I'm just wondering if theres any program out there (pref for mac) Where I can see who is connected.

I could connect to my router but I'd have to borrow my roomates PC bc thats how we set it up.

If anyone knows of an actual program in which I can see who is connected, that would be helpful.

thanks

I don't know of any programs that allow you to "see" who's using your wireless connection, but if the router has any quality, you should have a page in its web-admin that lets you see MAC addresses of currently connected systems (maybe with the ability to kick it off)...and you should be able to configure the wireless to allow only certain MAC addresses to connect so that even if they know the WEP key, they can't connect.

Unless they hacked the WEP key or unless you shared it,they shouldn't be able to connect anyway if you really do have WEP enabled.

My linksys, if I remember, would color-code wirelss MAC addresses as green for clients that are authenticated to use the router (WEP key) or red for MAC addresses that attempted to connect, but had the wrong or no WEP key.

if you know how many people are on your network, you can limit the dhcp leases to that amount. Then get the local IP address (192.168.0.XX) and Mac addresses and create static leases.. so no one else but those computers you know can be on your network. Make wireless WEP/WPA enabled and disable SSID broadcasting.

As jc1350 said, your router should have a web admin page that tells you the information you have. There are wireless scanning tools available, but for a definitive answer the best thing you can do is ask the DHCP server. If you aren't using DHCP, then the best you can do is use a network scanning tool to probe your subnet to see if anything responds.
