Hello all,

My Leopard disk got a bit scrapped up and i'm trying to make a copy of it. I made a copy of the OS but it created a big 6.4 Gig image.

Does anyone know how I can split this image in to 2 so I can burn it to 2 dvd's. I don't have a dual layer in my mac and I don't have access to one.

Any ideas? Thanks

You have Leopard?

You presumably got it illegally. Members of this forum do not talk about illegal activity.

Sorry, it's 10.4X.

If I call Apple, would it be possible to order the OS disks which came with the notebook? I know Dell and IBM allows this, sometimes they charge you $10 but it would be a better route than to purchase a whole new license.

Thanks

No, but you could try eBay. Search, for example, for "Macbook Tiger discs" or whatever laptop you're using...

Yes, it should be possible to order replacements, assuming you have the machine and serial numbers. You might try taking it into an Apple Store and exchanging your disks.

To order Mac OS X Tiger on CD media instead of DVD, just download this .pdf form, print it and write the info needed. What you have to do for this exchange program is written on that page.
