iPhone SE, on iOS 17.0.2. How to silence spam calls please? The "Remind me in an hour" button is gone, and I don't see how to disconnect a spam call other than letting the phone ring forever and silencing the ringer. What am I missing please?

Thanks. I can't block unknown callers due to medical concerns. I have these settings on, but the phone just keeps ringing and ringing.

I use an app that cost, I think, $3/month called Hiya: Spam Blocker & Caller ID. Works well for me.

My rant about Dr.'s and Hospitals not having or using Caller ID. There is NO reason for them not to have their business names as caller ID. I have complained to all that I have done business with. Hospital switch boards are the worst at this.
So, Just let these calls go to voice mail and if they don't leave a message don't return the calls. I then add the ones that I'll need to my contacts.
For ALL new business that I'll be using I tell them to leave a message as I block Unknown numbers.

Thanks, but I was hoping for something free integral to the phone. I thought I was just missing something, but I guess that's another feature that has been eliminated. Ah well.

You might want to talk to your phone service provider. They should have options available.

I don't think it was ever there.
There was a small white clock on the lower left that said "Remind me in an hour" and a red "decline" button on the left too.

Ah, so it wasn't really a blocker, just a way to get rid of it after it rang. That's there, but I never see it because Hiya blocks them before it rings.

Try Settings/Phone/Call Blocking & Identification to see if you can Silence Junk Callers. I think it depends on the cell provider as mine refers specifically to my provider.

I have those set, but too many spam calls seem to get around it. Thanks anyway

I understand what a PITA these can be with an incredible increase in spam calls in Australia since COVID. I have Silence Unknown Callers switched on in iPhone Settings when in Australia but off in Indonesia because the problem doesn't seem to exist here, whereas I do get spam SMS but they're mostly harmless.

It only blocks what your cell provider identifies as likely to be spam. If they don't do that, the function doesn't do anything.
