I am on another "I like Mac" kick, and I have a question about Spaces. Does anyone know if you can run one system account in one space and run a different in another? The reason I am asking is the fact that I have my personal and administrator account, but I also have a business account, used strictly for business. But, I need to be able to switch very quickly when I get a call to record information in Address Book. Does anyone know if this will be available with Spaces?:D

What you're asking to do you can do today in 10.4!

Assuming you have your accounts set up, go into Preferences and go to Accounts. Select "Enable fast user switching". Whatever account you're currently logged into will appear in the menu bar.

If you're in your personal account and want to go to your business account, click on your personal account name, and switch to your business account. Going to a new account if you're not already logged in will take longer than if you're already logged in, but this allows you to go back and forth fairly quickly.

The only real downside on time is password entry - you have to enter it, and it takes a few seconds to switch accounts. It shouldn't really pose much trouble I wouldn't think.

Hope this helps!

No! As long as you don't log out, the programs will stay open. That's the beauty of it. ^_^ When you go to the second account, the first remains up and running.

Ahhh, I see. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

I was using Stickies to keep my records in my personal account, that is just how unorganized I am.

This designated account should help that out a LOT!

THANK YOU!!!!
