I've got two Spaces set up currently to separate my personal bookmarks & mail accounts from my business-related ones. In my primary space, I'm using Safari & Mail. In my secondary space, I'm using Firefox & Thunderbird.

When I click a URL link in a Mail message, it naturally opens in Safari (my default browser). However, when I click a URL link in a Thunderbird message (in Space 2), it still opens in Safari, not Firefox.

How can I retain Safari as my default browser, but get URLs clicked in Space 2 (in Thunderbird) to open in Firefox?

Any ideas?

Sounds more like a preferences issue in Thunderbird than a Spaces issue. You don't mention looking into that. Have you? Maybe someone who uses Tbird will come along with more info...

Thanks for the input. I have looked into Thunderbirds pref settings, but haven't found any way to make this selection.

The problem, such as it is, seems to be that the selection of a default browser is system-wide and I'd really like for it to be space-specific.

Probably no easy way to accomplish this...
