Hey folks, i recently bought a nano from the apple.com store, refurbished. i got it here and started playing around with it on my pc and i went to install some songs on it on my mac and it doesn't show in iTunes, so i tried to erase it and put the update software on it, now it has a folder and with this "!" and says to go to apple.com/support/ipod, i did that and now i'm stuck. Someone please fill me in and let me know what i did wrong.

i dont have no mac's
start here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/

especially with the 'reset your ipod' section, should do the trick
you will lose all your current songs though, but thats okay because you should already have them on the computer you imported from

if you go to the "contact us" section of the apple support site and call them, they are all really helpful people who are more than willing to help you solve your problems

Just go to the apple store and plonk it on the iPod hifi for a few seconds... I'm sure they won't mind, we do updates for customers all the time.

I've never understood that: Selling iPod's without a charger, but requiring a wall charger to perform certain software updates... *shake-head*
