[QUOTE="Rod, post: 1642712, member: 204485"] Had been running the Yosemite Beta as a registered tester for weeks before release, had no problems other than increased loading time running off a USB HD nothing surprising there. Once up and running a few initial glitches which were sorted quickly. I loaded the production version one week after release and have had virtually no issues with transition at all. WiFi connection needed reseting, a couple of apps needed updating to Yosemite versions and some of them only because of additional features available in Yosemite. I did not do a clean install this time although I was prepared to if necessary and I have to say Yosemite seems to work even better than Mavericks. I do not use Mail or Safari except for problem solving purposes for other people and I really cant see that either improved any since the upgrade. No problem with Hot Links using AirMail to Opera. I do not like the new iTunes interface although I use it extensively, I waste a lot of time trying to navigate windows column sizes and views but maybe thats just me. iPhoto on the other hand works very well. Incidentally talking about iPhoto someone showed me something the other day I did not know (there are a lot of those incidentally) you can drag a photo from the iPhoto viewer to the desktop. This places a copy on the DT that makes loading to websites really easy. In the past I used Show Original in Finder in the iPhoto menu then copied it then placed it on the desktop. This saves two steps. I too like the increase contrast option. No problems with Chrome either although it is not my default.:) So all up apart from a bit of detective work locating the locations of various command buttons like Software Update this is a great OS.
