Yosemite nightmare Yup, I installed it on my mid 2009 MacBook Pro (13" 2.53 GHz w/4 GB 1067 DDR3). What a great unit........well, it used to be. It's slower with Yosemite, and what they've done to Mail just stinks. I didn't like the changes to Maill for Mavericks but this is too much (wish I'd stuck with Mountain Lion). I'm doing mail on my Kindle (have a keyboard/case) because it's faster and simpler for multiple addressing. Enough is enough. I'm off to the Microsoft Store next week to find out when the new version of Yosemite compatible Outlook will be available. You should add capabilities to applications, not take them away. The ground around Steve Jobs grave must be rolling like an earthquake with the way Apple is screwing up (Yosemite, IOS 8.0 - I'll wait about 8.1). Unfortunately we also installed Yosemite on the wife's mid 2012 13" MacBook Pro. Her internet connection would drop every 15-30 seconds. She couldn't do anything and a trip to the Genius Bar was a waste of time. We finally could keep it going after we turned off Bluetooth........good bye wireless speakers and streaming to the big screen. Flattening the displays is the least of our worries, however, they didn't have to completely squash them. I consider Yosemite the Vista/Windows-8 of Apple.
