I installed 10.10 a week ago, and for the most part all is well. No issues during install. The most significant (significant in functional impact) difference I've noticed is within Mail. As I would think is typical, I view my inbox sorted by date with newest on top. Occasionally I'll want to view all mail from a particular sender after having selected one from said sender. Previously (pre-Yosemite), clicking Sort by From would take me to all email from that sender WITH the currently selected mail item VISIBLE in the column, regardless of the senders alphabetical position. With Yosemite I'm thrown to the Z-end of the alphabet, with my selected email somewhere way down the column. This is not desirable. Is it just me? And if I missed this discussion elsewhere on this site, my apologies.
