That said, neither operating system is going to be locked down like iOS for one very simple reason: you can't run all computers with such restrictions. Computers are used in a myriad of ways which limits the types of restrictions you can develop.</p><p></p><p>I do find it somewhat ironic however that MS, long presented as the antithesis of Apple's walled garden, is "growing its own garden" with Metro applications.
