Slow login

Hi

When I reinstall OS X Panther, the system starts up and logs in quickly.

However, after a while, the system will log in a lot slower and keep loading stuff from the hard disk for up to 30 seconds. How can I prevent this?

Is there a way to see what it's loading?

Go to
Applications/System Preferences/Accounts

Click on your account name and then Startup Items...That shows what extra apps are loading upon boot up
