So far Nick I have tried a lot of things and everything is working. Will keep testing things and report back if I see anything wrong.

Thanks very much Dennis.

When you test, could you please also indicate which browser you are using.
As I have shown when posting screen shots of the ads, the site shows up different on different browsers.
And besides clearing cache and cookies as already mentioned, anyone testing should also make sure they are using the latest version of their browser.

Just noticed that my Profile again is not being recognized and I'm being asked for user name and password even though the "remember me" box is checked. This is happening with Chrome. Have not tried yet using Safari. Also getting a redirect error with Chrome and a "site not secure" notification.

However, after logging on to the forums the "https" appears. Really strange. Going to log off with Chrome and try Safari.

Okay... I'm back in using Safari.

Same thing is happening with Safari. "Site Not Secure", Does not remember my profile, and redirect error. Again, once I log on, then the secure lock appears just like with Chrome. So... whatever is going on, it's not working as it should.

Is this site supposed to be W3C compliant?

I get 91 errors when checking with the W3C validation service - that more than the typical websites I visit.

Charlie, I had to wait for the security update in High Sierra to install but nothing like that here. Logged out, cleared everything and I log right in. Favicon looks fine. Using mostly Safari here but tried Chrome on my older iMac.

I tried that on a few sites I frequent. Anandtech only got 31 I believe and they have been HTTPS for many years now.

Thanks Charlie...I'm seeing both of those as well.

Hey Rod...can you provide more detail regarding what you mentioned please? Want to be sure if this is a new item (not mentioned yet in this thread yet)...or something that's already been mentioned.

Please include a screenshot if you can.:)

Thanks,

Nick

Nick, it must like me, I have logged in and out. Used Mountain Lion with Chrome, High Sierra with Safari and Mojave with Safari and can not duplicate what you and Charlie are seeing. Maybe it's how the ISP reaches the site or affecting only some accounts.

Well, I'm on El Capitan and I tried logging in with
Firefox,
Waterfox,
Brave,
Safari,
Chrome,
Opera and
Maxthon

No problem with any of them except Maxthon which can't even find the site.
But I wouldn't worry about that - Maxthon has nothing going for it.

I am seeing a strange problem today. The marking of threads and forums as read when I read the last unread post is not working. The threads/forums still show as having unread items. I have to click on the Forum Tools and Mark this Forum Read to clear the indicator. Just started today. Safari, 12.1, macOS 10.14.4

Me too. I read a post, respond if I’m able or move on if not - either way, when I click on new posts, they all remain.

Only option is to do as Jake said - click on Forum Actions and choose Mark this Forum Read.

I just noticed I am unable to sign in into the iOS app. I tried this morning, so I amusing Safari on my iPad right now. So I know the user name and password are correct, but each time I input them into the app, it tells me one of them is wrong.

Also, using “New Posts” is still not updating after viewing and replying to posts/threads. I know you are aware of this issues.

I truly do not understand what is up with all this. I have tried and tried to duplicate all the issues being reported here and nothing. It still makes me feel it's related to some accounts and not others.

I have not tried the MF app. Will do that in a few.

I logged in with the Mac-Forums iOS app about an hour ago...no issues here. I logged out...then logged back in...all good.:)

Looks like our Mods can't get into the Mod Panel. I just checked Ashwin's profile and it looks okay. He was unable to get into the Mod panel to take care of a spammer. I had to remove the spammer from the Admin Panel.
