Hey everyone. I found this tasty nugget today and thought I'd share it with you.

WinAmp for PC has a built in directory for online radio and also video. There is no mac equiv to WinAmp.
VLC will stream video, but it would be a hassle to copy paste from WinAmp on PC to VLC on mac.

Well today I learned that VLC can load streaming media directories also!

File > Services Directory > ShoutCast TV Listings

The directory will load in the playlist.
It's not as robust or titled as friendly as WinAmp, but it gets the job done.

Enjoy!

Shoutcast TV on Mac?

Which version of VLC were you using? I have v: 2.0.5 and they've removed the "Services Directory" from the file menu - as well as all mention of Shoutcast TV anywhere.

Anyone know of another way to access Shoutcast TV listings on the Mac (besdes cutting/pasting from PC)?

Thx

Yes but that doesn't answer my question. Just hoping someone can tell me which past version of VLC can access Shoutcast TV listings.
