I know, I know... another spill story. Spilled a SMALL amount of coffee (with cream & sugar of course) onto the area of my left shift key. This was a very minor spill. I found the shift key not working and sounding "sticky", so I popped the key off & cleaned with rubbing alcohol. While cleaning, the shift ket was working again. I put the key back on, still working fine. About 5 minutes later... NOT working again?????? I popped the key off, and now can't even get it to work by depressing the small rubber plunger. Any ideas/suggestions? Other than just letting the alcohol dry out even longer, I don't know what else to do. I of course still have the RIGHT shift key, but I only use the left. Just a PITA. I can't remove the rubber plunger can I? I'd rather not disassemble the computer as well... oh- MacBook Pro, just over one year old.
