Sharing photo stream not working well

I use sharing photo streams in iphoto to do exactly that with my daughter. A couple of weeks ago, I attempted to share @ 2 doz. pictures, by selecting, sharing and choosing an existing shared stream that has been used successful many times. After sharing, I saw no activity, so I re-did the sharing, thinking I may have failed to hit the correct keys, etc. the next day I saw no activity, so I reshared. Checking hours later, I again saw no activity. After a week or so, I gave up trying to share. Today, I shared 3 or 4 pics with my wife, using a different shared stream. The sharing happened instantly. Thinking things were back to normal, I noticed those pics I shared a few weeks ago now shared, but multiple sets of those pics were in the stream. Seems all those re-dos added up. I happened to speak to daughter today and she said she just received notification of this stream today, not when the pics were added to the stream. Later today I attempted to share some more pics to the stream giving me trouble and the same problem-no activity. Do shared streams go bad, like spoiled milk?
