My experience with SL so far Finally came in the mail yesterday. To my surprise I was sent a family pack but only paid for single user. I told myself I was in no rush to upgrade but holding it in my hand I went right at it. I did a minor back up as most of what is on my MacBook was already backed up. I reviewed a few more website's about problems to look out for just to be safe. The upgrade went very smooth. It took 40ish minutes and freed up about 15, 16 GB's. However, my MacBook did become extremely HOT during the process and after the final reboot into SL I had a Kernel Panic. Hasn't happened again but in full disclosure about 2 months ago the same thing happened 3 or 4 times. I dealt with that by getting rid of any unnecessary programs and files and doing a software update including a few updates from apple.com that I didn't get automatically. What I like: I love the new stacks! It is great being able to open folders within stacks. And the new QuickTime Player is pretty great too! What I don't like: The so called integration of Expose and open documents is altogether unimpressive - as is what they call "zooming with the spacebar" What is interesting: So far there is only one website that Safari doesn't seem to like, it has been consistent since the upgrade - This One, either the page doesn't load or I get some thing like this - kwI–íg{ úYÔ¸lO!@ ‡-Õ’åG¹Ç¯¶T]Ý3k–V‰IH:$«úÞ?qñÝûœˆ|@òU©Ýî.’̈Ȉqöy?ÿþåÇãÓ¿zåt†½®óé—ïÞ;…b©ôkõ¸TzyúÒùÛϧïß9åÍ-ç4tû‘?ôƒ¾Û-•^}(8…Îp8Ø/•®®®6¯ª›Ax^:ý\ Really its only this site.
