Sent messages not showing in thread

On my iPhone, sent messages do now show up in the Inbox thread, making it hard to follow a discussion. The sent message shows up in the Sent box but is not included in the Apple Mail app Inbox thread. Is there some setting I am missing??

To answer my own question for others, it appears that in the settings for Mail on the iPhone there is a "Complete Threads" selection that seems to solve this issue. Turn it on.
