send and old messages lost upgrading to Capitanmessa

Dear sirs, I just upgrade to the Capitan (version 10.11.1). However when I open the outlook I needed first to configure the account again. BUT I dont find old messages and the "sent" folder is empty. Can I recover these files??

First up you did do a back to n external drive before upgrading?
