It has:
PowerMac G5 (Early 2005 I think)
10.4.11
PowerMac7,2
Dual 2GHz 970
3 GB DDR
ATI Radeon X800 XT (Bad see picture)
160 GB HDD
iLife '06
Mac Keyboard
AirPort Extream
Apple Cinema Display LCD 1680x1050

Case is a little damaged on the bottom and has permanent marker scribbles on the back of the screen. Video card has artifacts. I can provide more info if you need it

Since the unit is not 100% functional, I really wouldn't expect any charity to pay for it. If you are just trying to get rid of it, you might see if anyone would pay for shipping it to them. You could also sell it for parts on craigslist or something. Personally, I could use something like this for it's logic board to repair my own G5.

As old as it is and since it's not working, I would just drop it off at Goodwill and get a receipt for it. You can then determine its value (for parts) and use that for a charitable contribution deduction on your 2011 taxes. Of course that means itemizing deductions rather than taking a standard deduction.

I guess you misunderstood me someone donated this to a charity already and I'm going to sell it for them, I volunteer there.

Ahh...that's different...and maybe why putting too much info in the thread title (and not the post) is not such a good thing.;)

I would buy it (in it's current condition) for $50...so I'd say $50 bucks.

Same here, $50 seems reasonable.

Where are you at? It would also depend on what charity. (Goodwill allows returns, etc.) Where I am at working G3 and G4 towers sell at the local Stepping Stones (thrift store) for $20.
