I'm pretty sure I've done this. I mean, I've entered locations both home and work. My home connection has always worked. Workplace is the problem. I was given the DNS by the IT guy. I was actually given all the numbers (ip, router, subnet and dns). I'm a little confused by your description but I'm pretty sure I've covered this. I have one more theory. Is it possible that a bug from some Leopard update along the way has migrated from leopard to snow leopard? I mean, all these things kind of build on each other right? I mean, I could be totally wrong on this. But these problems did start when I was running leopard and I have noticed that some people think their issues started after performing some kind of leopard update. So if this is a possibility would it be a good idea to revert to leopard (install leopard again, then do a software update to get everything I need)? Then see if I can get wireless. If I do then that was most likely my problem. Then I can update back to snow leopard and hopefully everything stays the same when I put all the music, video, apps, documents I've accumulated over the years back on the computer. Possible validity to this theory?
