seeing thumbnails?

16GB iPhone, 17" iMac, 13" MacBook & 17" MacBook Pro
I was just wondering if there's a way to set a default so that I can see thumbnails of all my photos. I'm currently sorting some pictures and I hate having to open the picture to see what it is when I could glance at it and tell which folder it needs to go to. any suggestions?

In Finder select Show View Options in the View menu (or hit command+j) and select Show Icon Preview
