is this needed? looks like its for iSync, sorry if this has already been posted.

Anything labeled as a "security update" should be downloaded no matter what system you have - OS X, WinXP/2000, Linux, BSD, etc... It's just plain stupid to do otherwise. It's your fault if your system is exploited because you didn't keep up to date with patches.

Just download it and get it overwith.

Not to mention, Apple has a history at times of putting in other things into a security update without mentioning them. So while officially it fixes iSync, it may also do some other things too.
