I have a question about the Marware Protection Pack... most notebly the palm rest protector. Can the adhesive strip any sort of aluminum coating off the Macbook Pro's casing? I'm returning it because I could never get it to fit right and it would prevent me from closing my screen. One thing I'm keeping is the keyboard protector (plastic overlay for the keyboard. Does this stuff do more harm than good? Am I pulling off any metal when I keep pulling palm rest off to adjust it?

The Palmrest is actually plastic - the rest of the case (aside from the display bezel) is aluminum. Either way, I don't thing these products would be marketed if they had the potential to damage the machine.
